All questionsFive days covers Chennai, Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Eight days adds Thanjavur, Trichy and Madurai. Twelve days lets you continue to Rameswaram and Kanyakumari at a relaxed pace.
October to March is the most comfortable period. April to June is very hot, and the coast receives heavy rain during the northeast monsoon from roughly October to December, so we plan indoor-friendly days in that window.
Visitors of all backgrounds can usually enter the outer halls and corridors of most temples. Some inner sanctums are open only to Hindus, and rules vary by temple. Your guide confirms access before each visit; we never sell unauthorised priority entry.
